Sorvall RC-5C Plus Refrigerated Superspeed Floor Centrifuge: Tested to 21K RPM & In Excellent Condition
This Sorvall RC-5C Plus is in excellent condition and has been tested to perform beyond manufacturer specification. Our centrifuge specialist confirmed that the chamber held at -4°C during a 20,000 RPM run, thus exceeding the refrigeration specification.
Every component in this RC-5C Plus is in good working order. After you acquire a rotor, this centrifuge will be ready to be put to work at your facility.
While this centrifuge doesn't include a rotor, we do have compatible ones in stock. Please contact us if you'd like to add one to your order.
Our technical staff repainted this RC-5C's panels and blew dust out of the inside prior to testing. Once it reached our centrifuge specialist, he put it through the following tests:
- Ran centrifuge to 21,000 RPM without abnormal noise or vibration: PASSED
- Chamber held at -4°C during at 20,000 RPM run: PASSED
- Latch is secure: PASSED
- All buttons, displays working: PASSED
Thanks to its fresh coat of paint, this RC-5C looks quite nice and bears only minor wear. We recommend reviewing the photos.
