2013 Thermo Sorvall Contifuge Stratos Centrifuge Ready to Replace Your Failed Unit
The Contifuge Stratos model is rare on the used market. With ours being manufactured in 2013, in good condition and backed by a 90-day warranty, it’s a handy solution if your Contifuge Stratos just went down and you’d like your continuous flow processes back up in a hurry.
Our listing only includes the centrifuge, and its spindle only accepts a continuous flow rotor. You would have to buy several components and use a continuous flow rotor if you want to make this a complete system.
We know centrifuges, and we can tell you a 2013 centrifuge could easily have 10-15 more years of life left in it.
Not only is this a recent model, but it is in exceptionally good condition. There are no obvious blemishes or dents, and there isn’t even slight scuffing in any obvious areas. This centrifuge will look great in your lab!
Gas springs that hold up centrifuge lids have an unfortunately short life span. We’ve put in a new set of gas springs so you can avoid the annoyance of a falling lid for many years to come.
Although a rotor is required to operate this centrifuge, our tech did confirm that the motor spins, and the refrigeration is operational. However, actual confirmation of manufacturer specs will be left to the end-user with a continuous flow rotor.
This instrument is protected by our 90-day warranty, meaning if you have any mechanical issues, we’ve got your back.

New Life Scientific is no stranger to centrifuges. Over the past four years, we have dealt in and worked on a wide variety of benchtop and floor centrifuges from the top manufacturers, including Eppendorf, Beckman, and Sorvall/Thermo.
You can have confidence in our technical evaluations and our warranty, knowing that we have actual in-house technicians who inspect, test, service, and repair centrifuges. After their examinations and being cleaned inside and out, they often leave our shop meeting manufacturer specs.
When you buy from us, you’re not just buying a centrifuge. You also gain a resource for after-sales support for any questions or issues that may arise, even after your warranty expires.
