Our Testing Process
1. The shaking incubator technician pre-tests the unit’s heating and cooling (if applicable) and ensures the unit shakes and spins. If anything is not working, necessary diagnosis and fix are done before continuing to the next testing step.
2. The shaking incubator technician runs the shaking platform to the maximum and minimum specifications to make sure that it will get up to where it needs to and to listen for bearing noise or other rubbing noises.
3. The shaking platforms are disassembled, cleaned, and greased where necessary including the shaking mechanisms. The shaking incubator technician inspects the belts, fans, and power button circuit and proceed with necessary repair/s.
4. The incubator technician tests the heat with our NIST traceable incubator thermometers for the temperature to steady at 37°C setpoint. If necessary, calibration is performed.
5. If the unit is equipped with CO2, the incubator technician calibrates the CO2 to zero.
6. The incubator technician looks over various parts of the unit such as feet, fans, front panel, etc. Redecal, repaint, and replace parts are performed if necessary.

Multitron Incubator Shaker Applications
- Large-Scale Cell Culture - The ability to handle large volumes (such as in flasks or bioreactors) makes it ideal for scaling up cell culture experiments. The controlled environment of the Multitron shaker helps to optimize growth conditions for cell cultures used in research or industrial applications.
- Microbial Fermentation - The shaking ensures proper oxygenation and even mixing of the fermentation both, crucial for microbial growth and production of metabolites.
- Protein Expression and Purification - The Multitron is frequently used to optimize conditions for the expression of recombinant proteins in bacteria, yeast, and other systems, ensuring that temperature and shaking are tightly controlled for optimal protein yields.
- Biochemical Reactions - The Multitron can maintain consistent temperature and mixing for enzyme reactions, providing optimal conditions for carrying out small-scale biochemical reactions that require temperature control and uniform mixing.
- Microbiological Testing and Analysis - The shaker can be used for testing the efficacy of antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents by incubating and shaking bacterial cultures in the presence of the compounds.
- Nucleid Acid Research - The shaker can be used for testing the efficacy of antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents by incubating and shaking bacterial cultures in the presence of the compounds.
- Tissue Culture - The shaker can maintain conditions necessary for growing cell monolayers in various types of culture vessels.
- Dissolution Testing- The shaker is frequently used in pharmaceutical research to study the dissolution rates of compounds in different solvents.
