After its initial disinfection and inspection, our technicians tested the Beckman Coulter Optima MAX-XP benchtop ultracentrifuge with the following results:
- Ran to 120,000 rpm: PASSED
- Refrigeration held at 4.2°C during run: PASSED
- Vacuum reached below 10 microns: PASSED
- No excessive noise or imbalance: PASSED
- Spun down properly: PASSED
- Performed inspection; no problem found: PASSED
Only prepared for shipping and some internal cleaning. Preventative maintenance (PM) was last done in January 2023, so we did not do the full tear down like we normally would. The PM in January 2023 was performed by "eagle" which is a name we are familiar with.
It survived shipping to our location and immediate testing/inspection proved the vacuum to be performing well and the internal components in good condition. We replaced the power switch casing as it was broken. Internals were switched to a new casing.
PM was last done in January 2023 and is due in January 2024.
