Our Testing Process

  1. Our centrifuge technicians pre-test speed (occasionally to maximum), refrigeration, proper spin cycles and control functionality before ordering necessary repair parts.
  2. Once parts arrive, technicians perform required repairs.
  3. The unit runs at maximum RPMs for a minimum of one hour while technicians observe refrigeration performance, unusual noises, odors and heat buildup.
  4. All sensors are tested, including temperature, vacuum, rotor identification, tachometer and latch mechanisms.
  5. After a full hour run, the display is photographed to document performance for the listing.
  6. Technicians conduct a comprehensive inspection following New Life Scientific's Ultracentrifuge Technician Checklist to identify missing, loose or damaged components.
  7. The refrigeration condenser and chassis are cleaned using compressed air or dry ice blasting.
  8. Sensors are cleaned and reinstalled with proper gap spacing, and electrical connections are secured.
  9. Drive mounts, drive brushes and gas springs are inspected and replaced as needed.
  10. The unit is cleaned and repainted where necessary to meet New Life Scientific quality standards.

Our Ultracentrifuge Technician Checklist

New Life Scientific technicians test each ultracentrifuge thoroughly before shipping to verify performance, with tech completion results documented on a publicly available Ultracentrifuge Technician Checklist.
