After its initial disinfection and inspection, our technicians tested the Thermo Scientific HERAcell 240i copper lined CO2 incubator with the following results:
- Calibrated temperature; reached setpoint and held steady: PASSED
- Calibrated CO2 to zero; reached setpoint and held steady: PASSED
- O2 sensor reading was only 25.3%, which is not correct: FAILED*
*During testing, the O2 sensor reading was only 25.3%. Since a bad sensor will often generate an O2 sensor breakage alert (which this unit’s sensor did not generate), the cause of this incorrect reading could be that it only needs to be calibrated, which is beyond our capabilities at this time.
This unit still works as a CO2 incubator.
