Thermo Scientific Forma 3307/3310 Steri-Cult Stacked CO2 Incubators Features

Here are the key features of the Forma 3307/3310 Steri-Cult incubators:

•  High Capacity: The Forma 3307 model can hold 232.2 Liters of volume while the Forma 3310 model can hold up to 322.8 L of volume.

•  Direct Heat Chamber: The Forma 3307/3310 Steri-Cult incubators are designed to provide maximum culturing space for high throughput applications. Active airflow gently distributes air throughout the chamber ensuring homogeneous conditions reducing the risk of cross contamination.

•  Humidity Control: The Forma 3307/3310 Steri-Cult incubators’ humidity level is easily adjustable with no water pan to manage through an at-a-glance water level indicator that helps prevent sample desiccation.

•  Sterilization Cycle: The Forma 3307/3310 Steri-Cult incubators are equipped with 140 degrees Celsius overnight (14 hours) sterilization cycle that simplifies cleaning and eliminates the need for separate autoclaving and reassembly of components. This effectively eliminates bacteria, mold, yeast, and mycoplasmas from internal surfaces.

Our Testing Process

1. The Incubator technician plugs and verifies the CO2 readings to check if the humidity sensors, heating, and refrigeration (if equipped) are working.

2. The Incubator technician will disassemble the internal parts of the unit for thorough inspection on filters and other parts to check for any necessary repairs.

3. If the incubator is water jacketed, the Incubator technician fills the jacket with water for a proper calibration.

4. After initial inspection and calibration, the incubator goes under disinfection. The shelves and chamber are also cleaned.

5. The Incubator technician conducts a temperature stabilization process to monitor the temperature and humidity of the unit. Calibration will be performed as necessary to ensure proper readings.

6. The Incubator technician then inserts a CO2 probe into the chamber and injects CO2 for the stabilization process. Calibration will be performed as necessary.

7. After calibration, the Incubator technician checks for leaks and secures the seals of the unit using our CO2 leak checker. The water jacket is then drained, if equipped with one.

Our Incubator Technician Checklist

At New Life Scientific, our technicians test each device thoroughly before shipping to verify performance and functionality. After our freezer technician finishes the initial testing process, this Incubator Technician Checklist is filled out to record the important information gathered throughout the repair process. This checklist will be available publicly after the unit has undergone tech completion and is ready for the customers.

Thermo Scientific Forma 3307/3310 Steri-Cult CO2 Incubators Applications

CO2 incubators provide a stable environment with controlled temperature, humidity, and CO2 concentration for the following applications:

Cell Culture - CO2 incubators are primarily used for cell culture essential for biomedical and pharmaceutical research. This supports both adherent and suspension cell lines with high throughput screening.

Research studies - CO2 incubators allows studies on neurodegenerative diseases, cancer and stem cell research, vaccine development,

Tissue and Genetic Engineering - CO2 incubators supports the cultivation of scaffolds seeded with stem or somatic cells used for growing 3D tissue for regenerative medicine. CO2 incubators also provide optimal conditions for transfection and gene-editing experiments by supporting propagation of genetically modified cell lines.
